one by one = often

life has a funny way of treating people. in one's life others come and go, unstopable by any power. first, they were someone or something strange for you. getting to know them, they become something meaningful. why not? look at their being everyday, share thoughts and fights, share jokes and insultment.. even when it's not all real, the javaness says 'witing tresno jalaran soko kulino' falling in love just because you see them everyday. then its time to say goodbye.
not just friends, it happended also for families. mom, dad, husband, wife, children, sibling, cousins, etc. in times, we'll get used to it. hey, when they have to go they have to go, right? however, when the number increased, instead of losing one you lose a couple at the same time, it is still something shocking, hehehe.
or, if you havent look around for sometime, eventhough they were gone one by one, it is still a shocking experience if once you look around all are gone. when living become a routine, often we never have the time to do the looking. this is where we fall.
disapointing them one by one, hurting them one by one, rejecting them one by one, forgetting them one by one, while thingking we still have others. but this 'one by one' thing is cumulative. one by one soon become all. hence when we look back, booooom... all are gone.
different than human, we can also loose assignments. well, not exactly loose but ignoring, maybe. you ignore them, one by one. once or twice you might survive. but when it become often, by the time you look back, it's all unfinished. like the boss said: repetition make reputations.
oh my long-forgotten task, have you become all? and my long lost friends, have you become all?
