The Trendy Conventional

Trend : the most up to date style. Does one have to always direct one's mind according to the latest style? In some cases, change is a bastard for me. I just like some things the way they are. I love the way my office looks with its aristocratic wooden style. Though my designer friends says that the latest trend in design is now simplicity with pastel colors, for me the maroon wooden walls and furnitures are the taste of luxirious. Though they say "pastel-simplicity style" is the sign of cheerfulness, dynamic and clarity, for me "maroon-aristocratic" doesnt always mean gloomy, static and darkness. They stand for sturdy principal that stand still despite of all trial. Other example, all of Christian youth these days long for a charismatic way of religious services. But for me, old-fashion praying and singing way is still the best way to connect to the Almighty. Or as lifestyle, for the Jakartanians, inhabitant of a city developing to metropolism, one night stand is the cassual way of living. But the conventional me still live in the cinderella world, where prince charming is still on the way of saving her princess. See..I am old fashion!! But when it goes to fashion, man...my limitations change 180 degree. I could be the most open minded person when it comes to this field. I just love everything new and hit in fashion.. Hair die, mini skirts, pumps, jelly bag, mary jane, body suit, flare bottom jeans, hipsters, golf hat, big band watch, extra big earings, punk belt, boots, punk, classic, glamour, school girl, glam rock, oriental, office look, sporty...U Name It, I'll Try It. I'm not trendy (nor trying to be). It's just in my blood. I get the urge to try everything, just to see it on me! My big body makes everything looks the same on me. Not in a sexy way like every woman does, but in a so-so, everything looks big... So, i have the courtecy to try on everything, right? I was watching discovery a couple days ago. And the show makes me wonder about something. You see, i learn to eat sushi about a year ago.. Before that, the idea of eating raw fish is just not something i am fond of. .But now, I love it..In some situation, I even found my self craving for it! So back to the discovery channel, the show says that nowadays, FASHIONISTA CRAVE FOR SUSHI..so, that leaves me with one question: Am I a natural born fashionista? *huehehe..gr banget ya gue? not really a fashionista sihh...tapi kadang-kadang gue sering bingung aja sama dorongan batiniah gue buat fashion thing*
